As a No. VA based family, child, baby and high school senior portrait photographer, Tracey Attlee has over 20 years of professional experience making creative, artistic pictures of babies, families, children and pets on location in VA, MD, DC, NJ and NY.
Since babies, children and families are most comfortable at home, commissioned portraits are handled on location at the client's home, garden or a nearby beach or park. Session fees start at $275 for one baby or child or pet with their parents and are approximately 45 minutes. Session fees are based on time and the number of additional children, adults, pets or wardrobe or location changes.
Need help choosing wardrobe? Tracey will consult with you and make recommendations based on the style of portrait you request and your environment. The idea is to choose two main colors for wardrobe and dress the family in combinations of these. For example, family seaside portraits look great in khaki and white, blue and khaki or blue and white combinations. This gives portraits color harmony with the sea and sand. By choosing just two main colors you avoid a "checkerboard" look and keep the viewer's eye on the faces in your finished portrait. Wear solid colors and long sleeves and pants to keep the eye on the face. For baby portraits, we encourage a fun hat or outfit and then changing to a special heirloom gown or outfit.
